So, is anyone else here a trekkie (or, if you prefer, a trekker)?

Yes. But mainly TNG. I think it was the best of all the series.

Agreed. The peak of Star Trek's brilliance came at about the fourth or fifth season of TNG. (Recall also that Star Trek VI came out during the fifth season - probably the best of all the Trek movies.) After that, things started going slowly downhill.

My friend Geno and I have plans to **** with the crew at the Star Trek experience.

I'm going as a Psi-Cop.

He's going to make a bone and go as a Minbari Anlashok.

I pity the Klingon who ****s with us.

Geno's a trekkie, and I did enjoy TNG when it first came out, but 15 minutes into "Star Trek Indesision" Geno turned to me and said, "Y'know, if this were a B5 episode, Sheridan would've called Garibaldi to the bridge and thrown those two into the Brig. [Pause] And called the fleet at his leasure."

Me: "Silence, Geno. Captain has engaged the plot device."

And it turned into one giant live action MST3K from there.

ah... B5, how I loved you. I watched that show religiously, until my local station took it off the air in the 4th season, and then my lack of cable TV made me miss all of the last season.

Is there a specific name for B5 fans? (more specific than 'dork' please)

I've always been more into Star Wars than Star Trek. Sowwy.

I've heard us B5 fans called "Fivers" "Lurkers" and "Joe's People".

Indeed I am. Trekkie. Any Trekkers don;t know what they are talking about and should be shoved out the closest airlock.

Anyone who didn't like Deep Space 9 should be shoved out the closest airlock.

Anyone who thought Voyager was done correctly, should be shoved out the closest airlock.

If There is no Airlock available, shove your communicator badge point first into their skull.

Deep Space Nine was a pretty good show for the last 3 seasons ...

Of course, they just happened to have story arcs and plot lines that resembled what had happened on the preceeding season of B5. But if you're going to be a textual poacher/media cannibal, steal from the good stuff. ;)

Voyager wasn't Trek. It was far too bad to be considered real Trek.
Unfortunately, Enterprise is quickly turning into something similar to Voy....it's very sad.
