***Note From LeeMac -(The computer discribed below is an iBook not an iMac)This post was edited to clearify the post***

I know this is a little pricey compared to most of the trinkets spread out on the 68klma blanket but I thought I'd let you guys and gals look it over before I do the ebay thing.

I just finished a job for a friend who works for, well, never mind who he works for, the news is he paid me with a brand spanking new 500mhz imac still in the box and under full warrranty. This little plastic box has a ten gig hard drive and 384 megs of ram installed running 9.1 quite snappily, thank you very much.

I know this is going to sound just plain wacky but I'm asking $1300 for the whole shooting match, 'book, install cds, strange looking ac adapter and all. it's not that I don't like it, It's just that I did the job (installed a hot tub in a gazebo and wound up rebuilding the whole thing) expecting to get paid in real money and not white plastic. Besides, I am in love with my wallstreet and don't really need the little guy and don't want it on a shelf collecting dust. So there you have it, I think I'm priced about three to four hundred below retail and for all of you looking at sitting in a college desk next fall or so this would be the one for you. I'd prefer a money order but would consider a check if you would let me hold the unit until it clears. Just don't try and swap me anything for it, okay?

See how little use I have for this thing? I can't even call i t by the right name!!!! iBook, iBook......siiiigh, then again I'm doing this from the front seat of a car doing about 90 in the middle of San Francisco and am even more distracted than usual. No, I'm not driving but it looks like lots of folks around us are driving and keyboarding at the same time. I hate to say this but I'm really looking forward to good old provencial Salt Lake in a few days.

I'd say 'NO' if I were you... from what we hear TiMac rarely has much cash!

Thanks for the edit, I thought I was about to die when i first posted and was doing it to distract myself. Almost worked. I'd just love to extend the warm and brotherly hand of credit to you
TiMac (insert sound of insane laughter here) but that still leaves a big old hole in my checking account that she-who-must-be-obeyed insists must be filled. You don't have a sister you can sell for medical experiments or something?

Just a bit of friendly advice, I'd hate for a member to get into a bad deal on these forums.

Remember guys, the website provider assumes no responsibility!

Oooooooooookay. Looks like another item for the ebay crowd. I just thought I'd let y'all consider it first. I'll pass along a URL once it's listed.

Thar she blows.

Comparitively speaking it isn't the lowest of prices but I figure the warranty for a year makes up for that.

No wonder no one is interested, I just noticed I forgot to mention that this has the CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive in it instead of the plain old DVD. Now does it look a little better?
