Okay, i was sitting in my room, surfing the Forums and talking to TiMacLover on AIM. Anyway, I opened up an image, and my iMac crashed, so i thought, "Damn, oh well, have to reboot". So i took out the trusty iPaperclip, rebooted, and for some reason, my VM had been turned off. I go into my Memory control panel to turn it back on, but its already on. The thing is though, the machine was not using it. So i rebooted again, and i found that my VM was on. Good. I launch AIM and get back online. Once i'm back on, i IM TiMac again and tell him that my iMac hates Saturday nights, and we're talking about Mac users loving their comps and PC users opposing it, and the weirdest thing happened! There was this weird crackle coming from the external speakers i have connected to my iMac, and the LCD on my stereo went blank, and the CD I had in it (Jennifer Lopez, On the 6) started spinning at like 24 speed!

LOL that was crazy.

nah! actors have booty doubles, for music it's gotta be the real deal! they've got to be able to shake it while they're singing and moving their feet at the same time too! an actor would fall down and break her nose or put out her eye with the freakin' mic antenna!

Isn't 'J-Lo' the one that drowned the iMac in one of her music videos?

Actually, i'm sure that was just one of those conception model case thingies. She sure had a nice PowerBook G3 setup though.

Well, this thread pretty much got entirely off the topic of the weird occurance, but i'll just go ahead and share my freaky story anyway.

i was playing starcraft over appletalk with my friend. He was using my dad's iMac and I my own. he was creating the game, i think, and it froze. he was annoyed, but restarted the computer. the monitor went black, then the gray came on, and it began to start up. then, the starcraft screen came back up! it was right back where he was when it crashed and it worked just fine! It scared the hell out of us.

Oh, I hear you on that Epson thingy.

(But, I'll be honest with you, for me going from classic to OS X is generally speaking like getting back into a chevette after riding around in a beemer.)

those idiots still haven't fixed the unimplemented trap in the original stylus color driver that whacks a 68000 every time you try to print! has anybody gotten that driver to work on any 68000 besides the PB100, i don't remember trying with my SE, all you have to do is hit the options button and then OK before hitting print in the dialog box, but you'd better have macsbug installed cuz you'll forget do do the workaround fairly often.
