reminded me of one!
Mary Chapin Carpenter - I Feel Lucky! (as i work on my RSI project on the ol' G4/466/384/40-30-30(LOVE those IDE drives)/DSL-Netsurfer! ZOOMIE!)

"mc makes groovie records" quote from the "shut up and kiss me" video.

i was googling for the name of the guy in the video she did the duet with who said that and ran across info on two of my favorite songs on two of my favorite albums that i hadn't known she had written!

"Girls With Guitars," sung by Wynonna Judd on her album Tell Me Why (1993) Curb/MCA, MCAD-10822 (This song was written by Chapin.)

"No Fear," "Last Thing I Wanted" and "To Tell You Everything," sung by Terri Clark on her album Fearless (2000) Mercury Records, 088 170 157-2 ("No Fear" and "To Tell You Everything" were co-written by Chapin with Terri Clark, and "Last Thing I Wanted" was co-written by Chapin with Kim Richey.)

I want my CMT!

like anybody cares about this crap!

Schweet! After about 6 years i've finally found another fan! I wish her CDs were still readily available over here in Oz though. Now instead of Mary Chapin Carpenter's nice stuff, we have squealers such as Kasey Chambers *cringes* and wannabes like Adam Brand! *cringes again*

Either way, when i get a chance, i gotta hit the music store and see what they got! I've got a lot of catching up to do!

P.S: The Coming Of The Squealers And Wannabes is what put me off country music, and onto Top 40 Countdown and stuff, so thats why for the past few years i haven't thought much of country.

CD's? only the two latest, the first four are on cassettes.
i'll have to figure out how to rip "no fear" if you can't nab it.

"Girls with guitars" is wild! now that i think about it, i don't think i'll ever hear it again without thinking about the maniac and auntiesolder over on fritter. "girls hackin' cpu's" hasn't got the same flair, but you'll get the idea when you hear it. try to get that one too, that album of Wynonna's is great, but the new one with "Free Bird" on it is freakin' awesome!

Shania Twain: (if you're not in it for love)I'm outta here!
was the first CMT music vidcap i ever did on the kid's Q630 entertainment center (started out as a home workstation/backup plotter server for me!) I can still hear it and replay that tune blasting out of those appledesign powered speakers and watch that little quicktime cap in my head any time i want!

Bellamy Brothers: "He's an old hippie" is kind of a theme song for me!

rock on! coutry comrade!

back again: MCC discography i used as source:
http://www.grantguerrero.com/mcc.html

I can't find "party doll", hope didn't lose it! i almost bought the latest one, but couldn't remember if i already had it (i was kinda tired last week!)
