It depends on the type of flash card that it is. If you gave us a few more specifics we might be able to help you.

I am assuming that you are using a compact flash card adapter, right? Like the PCMIA cardbus cards for adapting flash memory to laptops right? I'm pretty sure (70%) that if you use one of those you should be ok. But I'm not entirly positive.

Sounds good, the laptop is somewhere in my computer bone yard. It was a laptop I bought for $20 and is like a 186. so I don't mind. Thanks!

It's no problem. By the way since your signiture says, "I'll see you on the darkside of the moon." I take it that you like Pink Floyd. What albums of their's do you have?

I'll look into it but I'm not sure it will work. I recall reading that flash memory cards that use a certain voltage work in the Newton but others that use a different voltage will not work in the Newton. I can't remember the specifics as far as what type work and what type don't but I will look into.

O Man I would die to go like one last concert of Pink Floyd, Then have like Syd Barret sing with them on Wish You Where Here, that would rock soo hard!

Put the card in the Newton and see if it works!

If it doesn't work, download the ATA drivers from the www.unna.org, install them and see if it works then.

Personally, I just bought a compact Flash adapter form Radio Shack ($15) and I'm getting a 32MB CF card for $21+shipping for my Newt130.

As soon as I find a SmartMedia -> Type II adapter I'll use some of those that I have. honestly, all I want is enough spce to put the entire Jargon fil eon my Newton.. is that too much to ask? ;-)
