So, does any one here play Angband?

http://thangorodrim.angband.org/

I have spent many hours playing this game only to be killed stupidly. Lots of 68k variants available.

WARNING: This game is highly addictive. Play this only when you have several hours to kill at a time.

I have purposely avoided playing it, so that malnutrition will not kick in.

I think you're pathetic. A text adventure game? C'mon! Where's that sleek GUI???

Wow.

Just because you might have ever used a text game or used one and didn't like it, that doesn't automatically mean that it is horrible. Moreover, making fun of somebody who happens to a text game is very childish and immature.

I agree compleatly FireWire, not only are text based games good in their own respects but they can be quite a change from stuff like Quake 3 and Diablo 2. You should try them, raWr they are quite good.

Whether or not the game is fun isn't my issue. Don't call other members pathetic, raWr. Say something nice or nothing at all, or at least phrase your criticism in a more polite way. I too am not a fan of text games, but I can be nice about saying it. Watch: those games never grabbed me like the flashy explosive action packed Maelstroms and Escape Velocities. Wasn't that easy?

Hi guys,

Things have been so slow around here, I checked a couple of the emoticon directories and tongue smilies don't seem to be particularly nasty. The one we've got is a pretty silly looking tongue smiley, and raWr used it in his post. I also think it's fairly clear that, while raWr's english is darned good, it's a little rough around the edges. I'm pretty sure that what he said was meant in jest. It wasn't very funny, but I don't think it's worth dwelling on it, maybe we should give him the benefit of a doubt.

:-p smiley sticking its tongue out (at you!)
:-P nyah nyah
:-P Nyahhhh!
:-P Tongue hanging out in anticipation

Using ours in a post makes it pretty hard to take the message seriously.

IMHO, of course,
jt

p.s. If it wasn't a joke, KNOCK IT OFF! and play nicely with others, raWr!
