I'm looking for:

1) a Duo floppy drive. No floppy adapter needed, unless you refuse to sell them seperate, in which case I'll take both

2) I REALLLY need some kind of micro-dock that has a SCSI connection on it. The exact port type doesn't matter.

I'm willing to trade and/or buy.

I do have some rather interesting/useful/obscure peices right now, includeing Mac IIsi NuBus adapters w/ FPUs, LocalTalk -> Ethernet bridges, NuBus video cards, EtherNet cards, AAUI -> 10bT adapters (Farralon, brand new in box, with price stickers of $40)

PLEASE!

I have a SCSI dock and a cable to match. It fit my old PowerBook 5300cs. If you have a SCSI hard drive bigger than 1GB to trade, I will consider it.

Hello? Anyone home? Do you have a SCSI drive that's 1GB or above to trade (one that would fit a Power Mac 8100/100AV)? If so, I'd be glad to trade both the SCSI dock and the about-1.5-foot cable to go with it. Let me know.

How does what you have connect to a Duo? The 5300 doesn't have a Duo's docking connector..

Mine's just a small adapter with HDI-30 SCSI to the good old external SCSI found on most older desktop Macs. HDI-30 is the one Apple used on the PowerBook right before the Pismo. Let me know.

that adapter wont work with a duo, which has almost no ports, except one serial, a modem, power, and a docking slot. marchie needs an adapter like the apple mindock that connects to that slot and gives a scsi port. i have seen them around, but i have a minidock so i dont need one. i do have a floppy adapter as well marchie, if you are interested, but i would like to keep the drive.

Marchie, I have an Apple MiniDock that I'm willing to trade/sell. It has everything but ethernet on it, and other than the release latch being broken (which only makes it a little harder to get off), it works fine.

Hey Cin!

I was FedExing your close up lense tomorrow (it didn;t go last week... my store was argueing with FedEx)

I'd LOVE that micro dock, but wht do you want for it?

I have an external battery pack for the QuickCam if you want it. It's kinda nice. If I don't have a reply before work tomorrow (thursday) then I'll send it.

anything you looking for?

Ooooh, that QuickTake external battery pack sounds NEAT-O!! I've had three lithium batteries in it for the last couple months, but they're very expensive and I don't know how much longer they'll last.

Other things I really need:

Two to eight 16MB 30pin RAM SIMMs

Two or four 256k VRAM SIMMs

A tray-loading CD bezel from a Quadra 8xx or PowerMac 8xxx/9xxx

Be careful with what you say, son. The Power Mac 8600 and 9600 used a completely different case than the 8500/9500 - making the bezels completely different as well...

I have VGA adapters that go to a Mac Video DB15 pin connector...

You'd need one that goes from a DB15 to an HDI45 to use the AV monitor I think tho... and I just traded that one to someone else for a Tape Drive :-)

well this monitor is not an "av" monitor in the sense that it has an av connector, ports, and such. it just has a standard db15. it is "av" because it has speakers.... and i have one of those adapter thingamajiggers that does db15 to apple HDI think ne way.

are you sure this is the apple adapter that will let me use mac monitors on a vga computer?

it is often mistaken for an adapter that will let me use vga monitors on macs. i want just the opposite...

trade newer tech. floppy drive for monitor adapter + about $5???

send me an email
thecube87@mac.com if you are interested

Ah, you want a female DB15 and Male SVGA.

I have the Opposit, but I can send gender changers w/ one that makes it work the way you want.

That sound ok? Is there a specific resolution you need? some of the adapters only allow certain ones, and I don;t want this to not work for y'!

well i'd like to get AT LEAST 800x600 out of my 486 if thats possible. also im gonna set it up on a switch and use my pb duo 2300c as well. so probably 832x624 would be PERFECT....

and what if it ends up that this is not the adapter i need when/if i get it?

what kind of switch are you using? you might be better off re-wiring the switch with jumpers or a dip switch on the sense lines to a DB15 panel mount connector or grafting half a mac cable onto the patch circuit grommeted thru the removed HD15 hole on the back of the VGA KVM switch (?). four way mechanical VGA KVM switche prices are pretty reasonable.

Well, I have an adapter with DIP switches on it that will do just about any resolutions you want, up to 1600x1200 I think... or mabe 1200xsomethingelse.

that work?

well... as long as it will allow me to use a MAC MONITOR on a PC. if it doesnt can i send it back?

it should work though... right.

a pc monitor on mac computer adapter with gender changes doesnt seem like it would work correctly.

If Maclady just wants the one part, then I guess I have both for trade. I need Newtons stuff and display access cover for PB500 series.
