OK, I have now got a good price on T-shirt printing: $7. Add the price of a cheap blank T-shirt and a few bucks postage and I could get them to you for less that $15.

Also, I was thinking about the stickers and am prepared to put up the money for a 200-300 unit run. This would probably end up being $75-$90 (depending on colors/grey) which means you'd get at least 3 for a dollar.

So, what I want to know is interest in this venture, if enough people want stickers I'll do them, and the T-Shirt price is per unit anyway, so it doesn't matter too much how many people want them.

P.S. If you run a print shop, let me know!

Hey, ~Coxy, I'd be prepared to shell out for a couple of shirts... plus probly some stickers. Dunno how I'd pay for them as I don't use cheques... Credit Card, cash or barter would have to be the way to go.

Actually, make that 3 shirts...confirmed.

OK, Firewire can do the design... Or dana, she's already proved her photoshop skills!

Anyway, for the t shirts to be $7 they can only be printed on one side, but the image can be any size up to A4, and colour too. How about a nice big 68kmla logo + username on the back?

When the design + orders are finalised, I'll go and buy some blank T shirts and notify the actualy price.

And stickers: is everyone OK if they looked basically like the forum logo above (except for the 'FORUMS'!) Greyscale = cheaper, after all!

What could be done:
Collaboration, eventual decision on designs. Coxy makes the Australian stuff, as he mentioned. Someone gets appointed to head USA execution of these ideas. Then almost everyone is happy, and we have globally uniform... uniforms.

I like the idea of having your username on the back. Possibly the MLA URL as well?

Hmm, if we put the URL then I'd like it to be a proper one, say www.68kmla.com, redirected to here. I might organise a domain redirect. Anyway, I was thinking of a T-shirt design like this:

--------\/---------
/ /|Mac your day,|\ \
/_/ |Join the MLA!| \_\
| "~Coxy" |
| 68kmla.com |
| |
---------------

With the Apple logo (rainbow, or course) in the background!

Coxy, put me down for one T-Shirt. But I was wondering if instead of the usual design could I send you the design I like? I was thinking something along the lines of having the logo at the top of the forums(minus the forums part of the logo) with the apple in it's six color splendor. Then below that just... 68kmla.com. Plain and simple. As I mentioned if it's too much trouble then I could just send the design to you. I'll take a sticker also.

Sweet, put me down for some stickers!
Tito
I second the idea for a sticker with the icon from the top of the forums somewhere on it

OK, does someone want to send me a design? People can make their own designs, as long as they're approveable...

Anyway, I was thinking of doing a few sheets of small stickers: Motorola inside: 68000 - Motorola inside: 68040, and they'll end up being really cheap.

does anyone remember the "O4O" logo that motorola used to use? it had stylised different-thickness 0's and the vertical line of the 4 was an exclamation mark. just that would be nice...

also a sticker with the rainbow apple logo (if colour is an option) with "Macintosh" below... much like the placement of the logo/macintosh on many machines, but with no model designation... that could be like a little zoom-in of the neat part of the case you just have to touch... the lil 3d apple :D.

I'll try to find the 040 logo if some ppls aren't sure of what that looks like...

found it :). Take a peek here

tisn't much use as a sticker unless a lotta us recognise it somehow... and even then I guess it's not too mac-specific...

You know how much that comment reminds me of the Pentium III logo?

Really, when you think about it, it really looks like,

pentium!!!

like as in,

"Oh no, its a pentium!!!"

very cool, mine wasn't really serious. i tend toward alliteration, maybe some takeoff on the theme of:

"Intel Impaired"

let's come up with something original if we can.

OK, a few designs, note they are a bit dithered due to crappy web compressions.
Also, we need to get a domain redirect or something for advertising...

(Copy and paste the above into your URL bar... freeservers is very crappy about remot linking!)
