Ok, I'm moving and have to get rid of some stuff.

I have:

2x Mac IIsi w/ NuBus Adapters and FPU's. No Guantaee on RAM or HD. FLoppy drive is good. Asking: $5 plus shipping. w/ 4MB of RAM, make it $10

Mac IIcx, logic board good, w/ HD power cable and Floppy drive, No HD, no RAM. $5

Mac IIx, 8MB RAM and Hard drive (80MB?), one floppy drive. Works! w/ video card. $10 plus shipping. Case needs a good cleaning.

That's all for the MOMENT.

Respond here, or preferably to marchie@mac.com

Also available:

AAUI -> 10bT adapters for Ethernet.

I have several, of various makes. Guaranteed to work.

Price varies. The Farralon versions are brand new, in packaging with price stickers of $40. These will be traded, or sold at best offer. I beleive there are 2.

Would this adapter happen to be the one that allows you to use the funky older AV monitors with new macs? Could we be talking about the elusive HDI-45 to DB-15 gizmo?

Nope this is for a old Audio Vision monitor that had builtin speakers, the cable allows you to actully hook both the video and sound to the mac suing one cable, though iNever found the speakers in my Audio Vision 14' that well, the speaker in my 610 blasts me out! Btw, Marchie how much for 2 AAUI's they don't need to be new. Thanks

I dunno....so you're telling me that it's a DB-15 on each end? It doesn't really look like it in the picture, does it?

Oh, almost forgot, yeah, I know you are moving and all and trying to get RID of crap instead of exchanging it. However, I should point out that if, uhm, you lose a foot for your couch or a leg from your bed you can always use this tape drive to stick in there to hold things up. I'm sure it would still work and would really be serving double duty backing you up.

Offer made, Offer Taken.

The AV adapter for the Tape drive w/ Tapes.

I'll ship it out Saturday via FedEx, with a Priority Mail box and postage for the return of the tape drive.

Is it an internal or External drive, and how many tapes are there?

If you want to hook one of the HDI-45 AV monitors up to a Mac w/ a DB-15 Monitor connection, you want the AV adapter that noir is getting.

If you want to hook a DB-15 monitor up to a HDI-45 connection, you need The Dongle, which is about 3 inches long, and has a female DB-15 and Male HDI-45 with just a few pins in it.

I have one of those, but I'm not selling it since I need it for my 8100. It has a NuBus video card in it too, so I can run my Portrait display and the 2 page monochrome... mmmmmm

Is that fair?

And would you prefer long or short ones?

Two things. I had a spare 6100/14" AV combo lying unused and one of you guys, I forget who sold me a video card with the right angle thingy on it that supposedly just about doubled my resolution. Gee, was I ever excited, no idea why, I just get that way sometimes around new hardware....this is the sort of thing I do, though, installed the card, put things back together and then it dawns on me that my lovely little monitor still has that stupid plug on it. DOH!!!! So now I'll get to see what difference the card makes, thanks.

I'm heading out the door in a few minutes for a drive across Nevada to help a friend move who lives in San Francisco and won't be back until at least Tuesday, possibly even a day later than that. Can I get you to hold off on mailing until I get back in touch with you? In fact, truth told, I'd rather mail to you first since I was planning on using a cheaper rate to ship by since this thing is so heavy. I'll bet it weighs about 60 pounds, give or take 55 pounds. Send me your address so I can get this thing off upon my return. It's an external drive and as I've been alluding built like a tank with a stupendously thick metal case that would take at least a .357 to penetrate. I've taken a few items like this to the range and can say with absolute confidence you could hide behind it if all the bad guys were using were 9mm. Those rounds just kinda dent it a little and flip the cases over onto their backs. Yeah, some of us have waaaaaaaaay too much free time on our hands.....

Oops, almost forgot, there are 20 tapes in all and I'll check my mail at about Reno or maybe from a little coffee shop in Truckee just to see what you are thinking. Ain't it cool?

Okay Marchie, I'm back in Utah, send me a delivery address for this micromat, would you? The house is sinking a bit on the side where it's kept. My work week begins Friday night and then takes up the entire weekend (two doubles) so I'll mail Monday.Go to Top of Page

not this year. went a few times in the latter half of the seventies but it's been so co-opted by damn near everyone that it's not all that much fun anymore. a few of us are thinking about maybe starting a new one and NOT advertising it every few years to try and recapture the spirit of the thing.

why? have you been?
