Well that depends on several things...like: are you the rightful owner of said Mac?If you are 'legitimately' trying to crack the password, we need to know which one? Is the disk locked/encrypted? Are we talking 'At Ease'? Or is it something at boot up? ??????

Hmm...is At Ease disabled by disabling extensions? Haven't used At Ease in a few year... edit: threads like these really should go in Ballon Help...just FYI... -------------------- Spelling/Grammar Bandit and beholder of: -the Quadra/Centris Stick of Justice™ -the HTML Keyboard of Greater Knowledge™ -Compact Mac Wand of Power with Shocking Flyback Transformer Tip™ --------------------

Well if it is At Ease, you could just start up off of a floppy and reformat the hard drive (this is assuming it is a computer that you own).I don't think turning off extentions will get around At Ease becuse some versions disable the spacebar and Shift key on startup, but going into debug mode and typing "G FINDER" will. If it's At Ease for Workgroups, then you'll have to do more than that. I think it blocked out startup floppies as well.Anyway, you can always switch the HD. ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit 68k Macintosh Liberation Army (now with forums!) 00013 Macs liberated. |

Hey, my LC 475 had a 2GB 7,200 rpm Ultra-3 SCSI drive in it when I found it! I think I may just put a 18GB SCA-SCSI drive with an 80-to-50-pin adpater in it, too. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! |

I wouldn't say he's a troll...but he made one post in one thread then never came back...which is troll-like, but he isn't a troll...

Well, maybe I'm wrong, but if he posts again, I'll ask him what happened and will pay close attention to what he says. Well, the MAF gets a hell of a lot of trolls...especially in "Anything Apple"Well, these unregistered "trolls" post threads like "MaCks SUX" in which they say that Macs have no software and they're slow, etc...then, some MAF-ers come along and completely shut him/her down...the thing that is unique though is that usually the troll never comes back to defend him/herself (and these trolls, they have such bad grammar!)

Anyway, this thread is kind of pointless/over, and was posted in the wrong forum anyway.~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit 68k Macintosh Liberation Army (now with forums!) 00013 Macs liberated. |
