I was back at the Disabled Veterans Thrift Store in Burbank, and saw a pristine Apple IIc Plus (internal 3.5" drive) with the original manual, an additional external 3.5" disk drive, a very good condition Apple composite monitor and the monitor stand. They wanted $10 for the CPU and $5 for the floppy disk drive, and I don't know how much the rest was, but certainly it would have all come out to $25 or $30 together. Unfortunately, I had no money on me, so I couldn't get it! I wish I had some now so I could go back and grab it!!!666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Visit my site! |

Man, I really want that little Four-Megahertz-Monster, but I seriously have no cash for the next two weeks or so, and I know they won't hold it for me that long. 666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Visit my site! |

How many stories like this do we hear? Why the heck do y'all go into thrift stores with no money anyway? Picking up chicks, or what?Sgt. Tallgeese Apple II Squad Leader 68k Mac Liberation Army 68k Macs Liberated: 4 |

You know, I told myself that a thousand times before I went in. I kept saying, "Cine, why are you going into that thrift store without any money? You know you're just going to find something you want but can't get."I guess I did it so that I'd have a sob story for a thread here on the forum... Oh and uh, most of the chicks you find in the thrift store are definitely not ones you'd want to pick up. Heck, they're hard to tell apart from the guys. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! |

sounds like a good line for the sixties party mix thread at mafu. shades of primitive S.F. sub-cultures from the dawn of a history that's vaguely remembered, thoroughly undocumented, misty . . . yadda, etc.jt2
