I posted abut this in 68k conquests, and then moved it here. I am using IP net router and a hub to share an internet connection. Here are my questions:1: I would like to run IPNR on the quadra605 and use it as the router, is it to slow? I tried to do it and, my iMac could not connect to the net. It works the other way though, if I use the iMac as the router the quadra can connect. 2: If I cannot use the Quadra , can I assign it an IP that can be accessed from outside of the local network? Thnx for any help

In regards to the second question, you cannot set the IP address on the Quadra to a non-LAN address because all the other addresses have been sold to companys or ISP's already. Even if you did set it to someone elses IP address I doubt IP net router would route it because more than likely IP net router can only reconize LAN network addresses.AnubisTTP 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Macs Liberated:15 |

Well, I got the quadra working as a router and it works great! Plenty fast enough. As for the external IP, I don't need it since the erver is on the original IP. thnx
