I gave it a shot, and it won't connect. "Remote host is not responding." I don't know about setting up a hotline server, so I am unable to help you. Anyone know how to set one of these up?

That IP address of 192.168.185.2 is as far as I know, an internal-only one, meant to be used for networks that don't directly go out to the rest of the world - no ISP's router should pass on packets to an address of 192.168.x.x

(I think it's 192.168.x.x anyhoo - I could be confused :D

I think I can tell you what is wrong without trying to connect. The IP address 192.X.X.X is reserved for LAN use, it can not be used over the internet. Most likely you are on a LAN and that IP address was assigned to you either by the network administrator, or the DHCP server that is distributing the IP addresses. If I remember correctly, to get a hotline server to run you will have to have people connect to the IP address of your default gateway, and your default gateway will have to be configured to pass all messages going to the hotline ports to the IP address of your machine. If you are using DHCP you will also have to assign the Quadra a static IP address that is part of the 192 IP range, but that is not assigned to any machines by the DHCP server. This is all assuming that I guessed correctly and you are on a LAN.

nope...still isn't working

edit: and on a related note...this thread really shouldn't be in 68k Conquests. It's more appropriate for the Lounge or maybe even Balloon Help...but i'll let it go, just because I'm a nice guy.
