Do we have a place on IRC where we hang around? If not, we should fix one.

Kinda - Internet Relay Chat. It's almost -the- one. For plain chat anyhows. IRC started in mid 1988 or so, there are networks of servers which can host tens of thousands of channels under any topic. It's dead simple, and works well. All we need is a common network to join, and a channel name (anyone can create one) and we just have to meet there :).

For one of the most common mac clients... http://www.ircle.com/

(there are a few other clients too, that look/work a little different, but they all connect you to the same system).
