lewis_d Starting Member USA 1 Posts	Posted - 29 Dec 2003 : 15:28:17 I have a performa 638CD and when it boots up it to a black screen with a mac's face that has X's for eyes, a frown face with two rows of numbers that says: 0000000F 00000066 can anybody help me?? It's probably a hardware problem. wisof Junior Member USA 257 Posts	Posted - 29 Dec 2003 : 16:17:43 what up lewis. . . has this 638 ever booted up normally? which os are you running? do you have other macs? do you have any external scsi drives? do you have any OSs on CD? I can't say much, but usually, if I get this (has happened once on an overclocked Q610), I use an external disk as the boot device. If this boots, then you can rule out a few things.
