I changed the backlight in my powerbook 520 from white to blue.

I removed the white tube and replaced only the tube with two shorter blue tubes. I got them at an electronics store where they are sold for 'computer case mods' or whathaveyou. The two tubes have a gap in the middle, where it is a bit dim, but just at the top. Otherwise, it is great!

I do believe pics are in order - so the screen has a blue hue all over now?

I would go crazy if my laptop were like that! I would say "NOOO!!!" "DON"T EAT ME!" because that seems really weird to me, but then again, I'm weird, so everything else seems weirder It's nice to know that something like that would work, at least
