Newton iTunes Sync Randy Minton writes: ...and you thought the Newt was dead technology? There's a lot of users still doing cutting-edge developement work on what still appears to be an incredibly expandable platform. The newest thing to show up is an iTunes/MP3 program that lets you load and play MP3's on MP 2000's and 2100's. Admittedly they're in mono due to hardware limitations but this is working on a platform that was discontinued four years ago before MP3's really even took off. Check it out at http://www.pixell.net/doppler/newton/ and http://40hz.org/MADNewton/ and start thinking about trading out that handicapped PDA for a Newt..
I am glad that I am selling my Palm, I am sure I can fit about 3 of my favorite Pink Floyds on a 2000, I wounder I have heard many rumors and licenseing deals between Apple and Palm, iWalk also which I hold to be real, if Apple was to release any new PDA I would do ANYTHING to buy. What do you guys think? Is there anyone here who can try this app out? Wow. There's something that you can't do on a Palm (except for a Clie). Maybe I should sell my palm too.Wonko The Sane Engineer-in-training 3 Macs Liberated "You can't possibly be a scientist if you mind people thinking that you're a fool."- Wonko The Sane |

when the ATA card drivers are finished (they'll be $50 to buy tho!) I'll be able to use my 16MB and 32MB compact Flash cards, and thus have MORE MP3s!Even at the mono, 112kb rating, MP3s come in at a couple Meg. ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie Holder of the Compact Mac - -Stick of Justice, with Explodeing CRT head -Wand of Power with Shocking Flyback Transformer Tip ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ |

You can use 16 or 32 MB cards now, too. Even 64 MB if you can find them, but they'll have to be linear Flash RAM cards, and thus expensive as hell.,xtG .tsooJ -- RTFM |

Except I already have 2 compact flash cards, with adapters. Thus the need for the ATA drivers.~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie Holder of the Compact Mac - -Stick of Justice, with Explodeing CRT head -Wand of Power with Shocking Flyback Transformer Tip ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ |
