I was given a Radius GDM-1950 monitor to try out and see if it would work. I think that it is a 20 or 21 inch color monitor with a Trinitron tube. This monitor has BNC connectors on the back of the monitor for RGB and a DB-15 connector on the other end. Connecting it to any Mac results in a video signal but no-image on the screen - it is garbled "static"
I'm guessing that this monitor needs to sync on green. Does it need a specific Radius card? Is there an old Nubus card that will support this monitor? Thanks
Look for downloadable document "TN116 Radius GDM-1950" and you may have the answer you need. Provides information on making adjustments to the GDM-1950.

Did you try it with the Radius card in the 840AV? The card's socket is flakey since it needs a solder job but it should provide some support for it to test and see if the screen works.

Do youy have any other BNC devices? maybe a VGA adaptor to hook it up to a newer mac or PC (with the syncing on the green and the glayven)

Thanks for the lead. The page provided the info that the monitor is fixed at a weird 1152x882 resolution. Checking over at Lowend and going through their list of all the Nubus cards there are only a couple fo cards that support that resolution.
I have a Radius GS/C card but it is unaccelerated so you can see the screen redrawing. Yuck! SO I need to track down an accelerated Radius or Apple 24 bit card. Does anyone have any old Nubus video cards they would be willing to sell?
BOJ, I couldn't get the 840's card and the monitor to work together.
