What is wrong with me? I just noticed that apart from using the LC630 in the living room as an MP3 player, and trying to figure out if i can get my 145B's HD working again, i haven't done ANY 68k stuff at all! What happened to me? Should i see a doctor?

Yes, you should see a doctor about this. The doctor will say:

"Overclock two Quadras and call me in the morning."

"If symptoms have persisted since 1904 or are accompanied by a fever, replace all your PRAM batteries and stick a heatsink on your forehead."

I think I'm worse than you. I love 68k machines, but I'm getting them all ready to sell along with a bunch of other stuff so I can buy a BMW 318ti.

*admission:*
I haven't had too much time for my 68K's either… [the only thing has been messing with A/UX trying to get it on the net, but that is currently being stalled by school work ]

If I open my window all the bugs will get in…That's just one more reason to use a Mac!

foetoid. . .bmw 318ti's are tight. . .what year?

maclover. . .please do not be that harsh on yourself. It takes time to work on these machines. Sometimes its just not there. Sometimes we need extra cash. But as long as we keep the dialouge alive about these machines and their usefulness, than its all good. Its nice to brush up on skills (not saying anyone here needs to). . .practice makes perfect I guess.

I think G4's suggestion is a wise one!Go to Top of Page

Don't worry ML5, I myself don't even *have* a 68k with which to be friendly...

I highly suggest that you do some writing about 68ks (for the MLAgazine of course!) and then do some playing with A/UX, maybe doenload linux/unix for 68k... clean reinstall a few macs, and find out about RealBasic, and write us some nice software

(Well... that's probably alot closer to my own todo list)

1996 or later.... gonna get the M3 body kit and drop a 3.2L M3 engine in it. Eventually add a turbo and new exhaust and few other things... It will be the biggest sleeper ever.
