This is kind of a trick question, seeing as there's no such thing as too many 68k's :-P

1. Someone knocks on your door, and asks to use the phone. You say yeah sure, and toss them a cola to keep them busy while you move the stack of MicroQuadras and LC PizzaBoxes off the telephone table.

2. The folks come over, and when they enter the guest room, they find the bed rather hard. They take off the fitted sheet, and notice that the 'bed' is really a stack of Mac IIs with a fitted sheet and dust ruffle.

3. Instead of an alarm clock radio, you have a decked out Quadra 950 with TV tuner card, FM tuner card, hi-res graphics card, connected to the digital projector you rewired to use your DB-15 connector.

4. You need TV remote batteries, but all you have are Tadrian TL5101's and Rayovac 840's, and that one 4.5v for the Beige MacPlus that you use as a heat thermostat.

5. Your clothes and satellite TV box have to fight for dresser space with a Macintosh LC475, and a 14" Performa Plus display awaiting parts. (True for me)

6. Your computer desk is so full, there's no room for anything else, so you have a monitor rack on top of your AIO Mac LC series machine to hold your printer paper, floppies, and large stack of ImageWriter II ribbons. (Also true for me)

7. You have so many macs in your room, that it stays lit 24 hours a day due to the phosphourescent (Spelling?) glow from your CRTs. (Sorta true here, 3 monitors, 1 TV set)

8. Your MacStack isn't part of your desk, it is your desk.

9. You notice your G20 van's (the one you bought so you could haul more macs) fuel tank is getting low, when you see a Lisa 2/10 at a yard sale. You forget all about gasoline, and end up walking halfway home with a 30 pound computer in your arms.

10. You answer yes to all these questions.

Enjoy,

Omigod!!! It's moi!

Though...

1. I have a cordless phone which sits atop the pile!
2. I do have a bed...but underneath no dust bunnies sit for there is not room!
3. Mmmhmm...yup...kinda...it also runs the Home Automation system!
4. So...my friends always know where to come when their PRAM is flat...
5. It's a repository for 'spare parts' and projects.
6. The kvm switch sits on top of the Classic desk...
7. I rather like that ghostly effect!
8. See 6...
9. Hell yes! I'd crawl off my deathbed for a Lisa!
10. Oops!

LOL!

Sadly, at the moment, i can't answer yes to any of those. But back when i lived in WA, I used to sit on some computers, use them as small pedestals and such, and there was a bunch of other crazy things you could catch me doing.

11. When you have a whole bunch of old Pentiums you could run *nix on, but prefer to use A/UX on your Quadra 700

12. When you turn your LC630 into a "Media Centre" type system...and succeed

13. When people ask why you have so few clothes hanging in your closet, you just point to the Stack of computers in the closet, and then at all the computers laying in front of the closet.

14. When people ask why you are so attached to the 48 port 10 baseT Ethernet hub you aquired a while back, you tell them you are going to use all of the ports when you get more ethernet cables…

15. You are too afraid something will happen to your Multi-Color Apple stickers if you start to use them…

16. When you are willing to keep messing with A/UX, even though it doesnt seem likely to ever get on the internet.

17. You gasp when a person says they have never played Spectre.

If I open my window all the bugs will get in…That's just one more reason to use a Mac!

I'd put a mattress on top of the Mac II's, but that would leave less than a foot until the ceiling.

18. Instead of paying $30 for a new ink cartrige for your Inkjet printer, you spend 6 hours rigging together an unused LaserWriter and an LC 475 configured as a LocalTalk to Ethernet bridge/server.

(Which is what I spent all day working on... now I have a LaserWriter 4/600 PS connected to my LC 475 (Mac OS 8.1, 36MB RAM, 350MB HD), then Ethernet networked over to my B&W G4/500 (OS X 10.3.1, 704MB RAM, 211GB HD))

I finally used one of mine, to cover the oddly shaped hole on the top of my new PowerBook with an Apple logo. It looks great!

No… I meant Spectre… but now that you mention it…
Both
[although I think Spectre is a far better game for 68k's, as Bolo goes *quite* slow on the 950; compaired with a PPC anyway… while I have never seen Spectre glitch ]

i've never played Bolo. Myst, on the other hand... for several years my Performa was almost a Dedicated Myst Box

This is interesting... Because the only 68k that I have ever used that lagged in Bolo was my Color Classic w/ 8mgs of ram. A human could not play fairly on it so I used to set it up as a Bolo Computer Player Server™. It was also cool cause my brother and I would play and I ran it in classic on my G4, except that I duplicated the application and had 3 different Bolo's running at the same time on my machine. So it was 3 computers vs Me and my Bro. That was pretty fun

Spectre is quality though, I used to play that with my dad a loooong time ago, and I still have it in fact.

I wonder if it had something to do with the fact that the Quadra had A/UX launched at the time…

Maybe like... Brickes... and Crystal Quest... and some of the Sim ones... other than that... sadly, I'm not much of a gamer

I'm GREAT at Brickles and CrystalQuest though!!!
