First, apologies to those traumatized or offended by my use of the word "M$" :)

There's very little information on the web for Microsoft Arcade for Macs, the one containing Asteroids, Missile Commands, Tempest, Centipede, and Battlezone. Does anyone know if it ran on 680x0 Macs, and what the system requirements were? It'd be nice to know before I start hunting for a copy, to see if it's worth the effort.

I've tried MAME 0.28 on 68040 machines and it runs too slow. Arashi, Maelstrom, and Apeiron are great, but it'd be nice to play the originals... Thanks in advance.

I'm answering my own question here, but I've found out the possible system requirements by browsing through auctions on eBay. Microsoft Arcade supposedly runs on Mac II family or higher, PowerBook 160 or higher, 3 MB of RAM, and System 7. 68030 25 MHz seems to be the minimum, which means it should run well on 68040 machines.

I guess I'll be on a lookout for a copy!
