Well folks.. the time has come.

http://www.68kmla.org/forum/

Your existing usernames should all work just fine with the exception of those who signed up in the last oh..3-4 weeks or so.

Please test it out and see what it's like and be sure to post on that board about any problems.

Remember any topics/posts on that board will be lost after the test..but please do test it out.... :)

Ok just so folks know... there is a problem with the board regarding missing tables etc... I am trying to get the info I need.

Posts might not tally correctly untill iether I re-index the database or Coxy does dependng on whether an Admin needs to do that or not.

So when you post..it will generate errors. The post will show up but only the last post shows up..not the others. Sad I know.

I guess Access doesn't keep tallys the same as mySQl.

Don't worry though, a minor setback..

Just a suggestion... maybe you should make the page obviously a test page. I.E. put a temporary logo (or text, or something) on the page so that we can differentiate it from the current site when we have multiple windows open (if you know what I mean....)

cheers

Hahaha wanna hear something funny?

While trying to fix one problem...it erased the entire database.

Hang tight while it's fixed.

Thisis what I just got from the link;

"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql.webicane.com' (10022)

/forum/inc_header.asp, line 114 "

we wait with baited breath for the bugs to be squashed.

well... we'll feel as though we're standing right outside, because we can't get in...
Although, the locksmith (tBoJ) from what i've heard, is workign night and day to fix stuff

Better this happen now, at a betaMLA than 3 weeks ago, and a finalized version, done without testing...

It's beginning to look alot like MS...
every where you go...
take a look in the error logs...
bigger than papa's hogs...
with SQL errors row by row!

It's beginning to look alot like MS...
Soon the yells will start...
And the thing that will make them scream...
is the error that's unseen...
Right in Windoze's heart...

A buddy of mine taking spanish says that "elgatoconqueso" means "The cat with cheese"

while 'The cat has spoken" is very inspirational I think that "The cat with cheese" is funnier...

other than that.... it looks interesting...

I know that it means the cat with cheese... I just put "the cat has spoken" in there on a whim. I've been thinking of making it display random meaningless quotes.

BTW... interesting... in a good way?

Nick

it's my way of padding that, so that i don't have one whole post dedicated just to correcting you.

other than that, it does look good. (random meaningless quotes sounds good to me though )

Yes I know the forums are down yet again for the test server, which I'm not happy about considering I pay 75US per month for all my services.

So, please bear with me as I try and figure this mess out.
