After using Photoshop professionally for eight years I figure I know the program pretty well, so its always satisfying when now and again I stumble across a new trick/feature/technique (or a new way of using an old one).So here it is: If you have a wheel mouse, you can use it to adjust the value in any dialogue box that accepts numerical input.... for instance layer opacity, colour values or image dimensions. Now I'm waiting for the torrent of replies telling me that I'm the last person on earth to discover this Cheers! I have a mouse with a scroll wheel..and I either never thought of that or just never got it work right and forgot about it. Thanks! I'll have to try that when I get home. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Lord of the Mac II Series Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 http://www.cinemafia.net/forums |

I think PaintShop Pro does that too. At least you can adjust the zooming of windows. It can be annoying when you don't want it to do that. what i hate about scroll wheels is when they scroll a different window from the one you want ... IMHO they should scroll the window that the cursor is in at that time ... and if that window cant scroll ... then they should do nothing goddamnit Orcadian MLA Division 68ks Liberated: 2 |

Creativity is slated for the next release of Photoshop. My understanding is that it will detect any uncreative artwork, and randomly generate modern art." I plan on being the biggest modern artist of them all!

If you get a Nostromo SpeedPad you could probably use the throttle wheel to do the same thing, the programmable hat switch and three layout sets of 10 programmable macro keys might come in handy too . . as long as you're not a southpaw of course! jt .
