I'm not much of a unix hack appearantly. Just wonderng if the gurus out there would think a Quadra 950 with or without the PPC 601 card would run A/UX reliably in a file/web server application. Also, would I be able to get SW to do those things on that platform?
Current Hardware profile:
Q950, 33MHz 601, 5 drive bracket, 256 RAM, 2GB HD, dual 10 Base-T cards, Internal 2x CD Thanks guys, Brain P.S. One of you Gurus needs to figure out how to run Panther on a 68k, it's niiice! I have more models than what I don't have... or something. I once complained about my computer, until I met a man who used windoze. |

I do not believe AUX is compatible with PPC Upgrade cards meaning if you want to run AUX, you most likely will have to take out the PPC Card.Without the PPC card, AUX will run quite smoothly and for web hosting that isn't too intensive (no major php/mysql etc) will run quite nicely.

but then… if you have DSL or Cable with DHCP and you don't have a router… then I'd say you're in trouble [I don't know how to get this done yet, but Greg Hunt is helping; ur well… probly doing most of the work ^_^'' (Thanks again Greg)] If I open my window all the bugs will get in…That's just one more reason to use a Mac!

A/ux is 68k ONLY
