My Dad has version 5 of Appleworks and he needs to insert JPEGs into his thesis for reasons unknown to me. Does Appleworks support this or something similar?

PS: Yes I realize this is the Lounge and I haven't posted here in a really, really long time.

Also, I predict that Timaclover will be one of the 1st posters in this thread.

Yep. If I'm correct, I have memories of doing the same thing in ClarisWorks 2 back on my LCIII back in grade 6.

I've bumped into problems with digressive (ie. progressive) JPEGs with older software. Progressive JPEGs were developed so that you can preview images as they are downloaded, which probably wasn't considered in the original specifications.

Your father may need software to convert images back to the original JPEG standard.

AppleWorks 5 is recent enough, that progressive JPEGs are most likely supported (I'd think) byut if not, I know that GraphicConverter can convert.
