Halo was a good console game and a very shitty pc game (it did come out for the pc recently)

Ms purchased atomic games and kept the close combat game platform going.

Purchasing ensemble studios and releasing the age of empires series (best RTS ever made)

Visual basic was born from MS purchase of cooper software in 1991

Lattice C turned into visual C after MS purchase

And MS made fligth simulator a benchmark after it was purchased from bruce artwick.

That is going to be a HUGE IPO. Probably going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. I know I want in on it. Whoever gets in on the ground floor is going to be filthy rich overnight. I just hope that investors dont destroy the company's coolness and make it in a corporate monster. I really dont see why they need any additional income anyway, they have a sucessful product that they are managing to sell quite well.

The colored boxed links at the top and right side of the search-hits page are paid for by those advertisers. Unlike some search engines, advertisers have no say over the order of your search hits, only a say in which pages their sponsored links show up on. I like Google too and try to use the sponsored links when appropropriate.

I never used hotmail, and bungie wasnt anything to cry over. I miss the ton of game companies EA purchased and ****ed over like origin, westwood, maxis, etc.

Dont think I tried marathon 2 on the pc. I was hooked on the doom, quake series probably at that time.

Marathon was great for the mac but it didnt make much of a dent on the pc compared to the other games around at the time (from what I remember).

Yep! As a matter of fact, one of their BEST series, the Marathon trilogy, was MAC ONLY. On top of that, they started out as a Mac only developer...they didn't move over to Windohze until Myth was released.
