Ok, i was jsut going through a bag of RAM that came with my Quadra 700 all those months ago, and found some RAM that i can't quite figure out. If i put it vertically, with the pins on th e left, there's two right stickers on the top two chips, which say this:

TOSHIBA
THM81000AS-80

8948AAA
JAPAN

Then the rest of the chips say this:

JAPAN 8947HCK
TC51000AJ-80

with a big capital T on th left of that code.

Anyone got any idea as to how big these SIMMs might be? I only have 3 of 'em, so i can't try them in my Quadra, as you need to install SIMMs in a Quadra in groups of 4 at a time.

What quadras do you have? because my 840av was very accepting of my configuration...

I had a 32mb simm, and three other 8 meggers (and the 8 mb onboard, right?)
It might've been a 32, a 16 and two eights, to give me my total of 64 mb...

or does your Q700 use 30pinners?

The Q700 takes 30 pinners, and you need to install 4 at a time, all of the same size.

A bit of Googling suggests that the memory is 1M x 8. I think this means they are 1 MByte SIMMs.

Great...i'll have to try them with another 1 meg SIMM...for some reason, i thought that it meant they would be 8 meg SIMMs...damnit.
