Road trip! (but for work...)

QuadraJets Junior Member USA 344 Posts	Posted - 26 Oct 2003 : 13:24:24 I went to GM Powertrain in Flint, Michigan today to check out a slight issue on one of our machines that presses valve guides and seats into cylinder heads. We spent 6 hours driving, and 5 hours working, so I made 85 bucks just by riding in a van... The plant we were working in makes the Vortec inline 6 used in the TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy. I remember in Sim City 2000 there was the Flint, MI Scenario, where you had to revive Flint after all of the jobs were lost. Whats up with that? And I must say again, Flint SUCKS. I forgot to mention that we stopped at a Meijer store to pick some stuff up, and there were all these former GM employees working there, and they kept bugging us about whether our company was hiring. Sad, really. The "roads" in Flint suck too, they were a true test of that FORD van's wussy suspension. They sell everything, groceries, clothes, toys, alcohol, toys, sporting goods, furniture, cds, and cosmetics.
