Just finished watching it. (Rented it)I found that for another "save the world" genre that Hollywood has been pushing it's actually quite good and the humour that is in it is well placed. The cast of characters was a good choice. Anyone else see it? |

Think its showing on cable pretty soon. Just about all the save the world movies I seen have a pure bullshit plot that kind of ruins it for me.

That was an awesome movie, nice to see most characters be picked off 1 by 1.. |

I saw that one at the theatre as well. It was a cool concept. But the harsh reality of all of the laws of physics that they broke ruined the movie's coolness factor for me.They would not have been able to make a metal that would get stronger under pressure and heat. They could not have radio communications through the whole earth, up to the surface. Just think of the next time your inside of Wal-Mart and there is a cell tower next to it, and you cant get reception. There is a steel chasis inside the walls of Wal-Mart, blocking your signal. The earth is freakin rock and liquid metal, there is no way that they could communicate. Also, the timing of the nuclear bomb thing was garbage. Eh, it was a movie though, and hollywood doesnt need to apply to the laws that good ol' Sir Isaac set down so long ago. -------------------- Christophillis- Portable Squadren Commander 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Total 68k Macs Liberated: 6.02x10^23 Or just 6 Number One, you have the helm. Oh, and on a second note, I just got done watching Rounders. Which I thought was a kick ass movie. It is funny because for the 6 hours previous to that I was playing:No Limit Texas Hold'em. The perfection of Poker. -------------------- Christophillis- Portable Squadren Commander 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Total 68k Macs Liberated: 6.02x10^23 Or just 6 Number One, you have the helm.
