Hello everybody, I recently liberated a Duo 270c and I've discovered that the keys on it are unusually rigid. I think the keyboard needs a cleaning or something. Any tips or pointers? Specifically, how do I free the keyboard from the laptop so that I can tinker?
Thanks in advance for the help -Yeti

Assuming that the 270 has the same setup as a 230, the keyboard is held in by some torx screws on the bottom of the case. Once the screws have been removed you should be able to flop the keyboard over so you can dissconnect the ribbon cables. Once the keyboard is disconnected from the rest of the laptop. it is fairly easy to pop off all the keys and clean them.

Download the Duo series service manual from the Hotline server, it will give you detailed instructions on how to open up the case and remove/loosen the keyboard.
