Sorry for posting this here, it can be immediately locked or whatnot, I just need to make a quick, 24hr statement.

Due to my server rebuild, it is VERY VERY important you get all data off of my server you do not want erased in the next 12-24 hours. At 8 (maybe 9) P.M. Eastern Standard time, all data will be deleted, erased, *poof'd*, etc.

If you have anything you cannot backup, please contact me at:
magicpenguin@torpedobird.com

Thank you for your time, sorry for the disruption.

there should be a backup.sql made of catsphpbb2(or something similar, i forget off hand) that is located in your folder now. I also have a copy locally.

The way the server is being reconfig'd, we need to talk aboot some things so your page works, cause some things are changing.

Hey 'Cats, with phpBB2, you need to use Internet Explorer to backup, and to restore the data file. Safari will give you a wonderful lil' error message saying that you've named the file wrong. :meh: I haven't tried it with OmniWeb, or with Opera, or mozilla/netscape though.

Camino is the best browser to use if you need reliablity like using sites that use cookies and secure lays. Safari still has issues with cookies and other items. Mozilla is rock solid for these things and serves well.

There is _NO_ question in my mind that Safari is one of the best browsers EVER, it jsut has a bit of a problem download and uploading .sql backup files from phpBB2.

It also has a severe problem with page caching. Webmin relies on having the pages updated every time, no caching at all, and safari screws it up. *shrugs* It will get fixed, but I have to use mozilla or IE till then...

BTW, the server has been changed over, and if anyone wants any 68kmla.org mail....
Life is running fine, so thanks all for the time.
