...Just because you don't agree with someone's ideas doesn't mean you should lock the thread.

I don't know if this reply will be tolerated, but I think that the lockage just screams "overmoderation!", and I don't want to be part of a community where this kind of thing is happening.

But really, its not a mac topic and it is a mac forum. If the owner has a diffrence of opionion.....he can lock it if he wants.

The long-standing rule of thumb has been that "talk about anything" only applies to family friendly topics and posts.

Therefore, the Lounge is not a spawning grounds for topics about stupid sexual perversions.

you think this is a sexual perversion? it's an art form, a lyfestyle, a way of thinking! there are several conventions, which deal with the art and proforming and liturature... there are people who dress up in "fursuits" to express themselves! I've been one before I knoew what any of this stuff was... I just declared it a cat-beast or where-fox or something... ahh well. erm, where in the last topic did anyone touch on sex?
just because the mainstream thinks its only about the sex doesnt mean it is.

the only place I found in reference to sex would be the offsite link, but that covers all aspects of anthro. personally, I like the clean stuff like Dana's self portrait, and usually shy away from the pornographic stuff ("yiff") as much as possible.

anthromorphism (sp) is when someone feels deeply connected to animals, not necessarially going out and tapping a goat, or something disgusting like that.

I'll have to go and reread the topic, but from what I got out of it, it was about people who like silly little animals. But, I also agree with (it was ~Coxy who locked the topic?) because this is, like fedorenko said, a mac forum, and like ~Coxy said, a family friendly forum..

For all whatever you might know, I let my brother run rampant here for reading practice or something, and if ~Coxy feels that something is not totally family friendly, I know that I can trust his judgement, and that the 68kMLA will be a better place for younger minds.

ah. you don't want to CORRUPT young minds... cory... letting him loose here for reading practace isn't such a good idea.... letting him loose on the INTERNET IN GENERAL for reading practace isn't smart. corruptaqble young minds shouldn't be exposed to the meda until at least 14. it should be law. I relised how much corruption and plight was in humanity when I was 7. lost my will to live when I was 8. it eventually turned into this. I didn't know what it was about at the time, but apparently I'm not the only one, which made me feel better. this little fantasy is the only thing keeping me from killing myself (it's this or fear death; a self-perpetuating cycle) but, I'm used to it. THIS IS HOW I COPE! it MAY make me a little... well... completely insane, but at least I'm not dead; and the dreams are awsome!

I thought it was pretty funny. I saw a special on MTV (True Life:_______). Maybe my def. was a bit innocent and ignorant (I thought people dress up like mascots and. . . .), but its still funny.

Though I do agree a bit with cory. . .there are a lot of young lil mac dudes and dudettes hanging out. I guess if they want to see that stuff, it is pretty easy to find elsewhere.

Yes, eMails and popup ads, and those stupid search sites (like the one at www.68kmla.com , IIRC) are worse than here for the bad content and stuff, but that doesn't mean we should just be unruly and pollute the forums.

I am not a "furrie" persay, but I enjoy looking at the clean anthromorphic art (see below for linkage) and I really like red fox/vixen anthros, they just look cool.
