Watch the Neon Genesis Evangelion Series and the movie. Watch it uncut. And also watch it like 3 times. After about this many you will probably have conclusions as to what it all means. Everyone has their own opinion about it, but it can be a hard anime to understand. It is definitely one of the, if not the, best anime ever produced.-------------------- Christophillis- Portable Squadren Commander 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Total 68k Macs Liberated: 6.02x10^23 Or just 6 Number One, you have the helm. I have a Sci-Fi class, and will mention this.Alot of Anime probably is Sci-Fi, DBZ, and that "Animatrix" and PokéMon (best examples I would know of) for examplel, are Sci-Fi. Other than that, I probably like Sci-Fi more, because I'm not much of an anime person anyway Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide Editor of the MLAgazine "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life" |

Armitage is awsome too. Cory, DBZ is 10% good anime, and 90% constipation.-------------------- Christophillis- Portable Squadren Commander 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Total 68k Macs Liberated: 6.02x10^23 Or just 6 Number One, you have the helm. I'll be in my ready room. |

NEVER did I say that DBZ was actually good anime, but it at least falls partly into the category, and it's only what of I could think. It IS, however, a good example of Sci-Fi, and that's why I mentioned it.I'm not very 'in' on the anime world. :meh: (I also don't know, and am not learning Japanese, there might be a correlation, but probably not. I bet there's a bunch of good German "anime") Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide Editor of the MLAgazine "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life" |

For a lot of good info on Anime, I look to the guys heading up that part of my forums. There's even a "History of Anime" report that's posted there that extremely good and really worth the read.http://www22.brinkster.com/originalstryder/db/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=398 "One slip and down the hole we fall" Stryders Community http://www22.brinkster.com/originalstryder/db/default.asp Come and check it out. |

My brother hit me up with the first 10 episodes of Cowboy Bebop on VCD...but other than that I haven't been a anime fan since the early 90's when I was all over Venus Wars, Appleseed and Angel Cop. Oh yeah, Robot Carnival too, that was one of my favorites next to Akira.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Lord of the Mac II Series Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 http://www.cinemafia.net/forums Edited by - cinemafia on 24 Oct 2003 11:00:23 |

Trigun looks interesting and has quite a following. Tokyo Underground was pretty wild. Earth Girl Arjuna is like a drama version of Captain Planet. Crest of the Stars was cool. The Nadesico was funny as hell. Dot Hack Sign is wierd but has an interesting concept that draws you in. Nadia is a great new take on the Jules Vern stories. There's quite a bit to choose from to fit what you'd like. Scchicago is quite active with the anime side of things and has recently convinced me to check out the Cowboy Beebop and Hiruko No Go series."One slip and down the hole we fall" Stryders Community http://www22.brinkster.com/originalstryder/db/default.asp Come and check it out. |
