I put on my computer at work so we now know that it runs on Windows Server 2003.I am kind of wondering if Apple just ported Cocoa windows and then recomplied it. If so it would be very good for building cross platform apps. --Eric ___________________________ I'm like the Pepsi employee that drinks Coke. heh, I have no desire to make a WinXP box look like OSX, I actually sorta-like the way that WinXP looks, it's a unique new look, for WIndows especially. I wouldn't mind seeing what Microsoft comes up with next. Of course, I also can't wait to see *if* apple has any huge-major interface redesigns waiting.(I'm sure that there'll be something for windows, but MacOS has been the same basic concept since 1.0) (but for the addition of the dock...) lol, My friend found a long horn screen shot…it looks like the genie effect!!!! And OS X was a major GUI redesign… they pulled the colum view out of the 1980's drawer… defalted us to that stupid browser-like way of "opening" folders… killed the old way of the Apple menu [not to mention killing the wonderful multi-colored Apple, *AGAIN*…] And the Dock is well… yea, totally new, and cool… [Give OS 9.0.4 the dock and let it have PowerWindows, then I'd have my near perfect OS ] *my last comment*: I still think windoz XP looks like it came out of the Playschool factory If I open my window all the bugs will get in…That's just one more reason to use a Mac! Actually, what I meant was the same basic way of operation, desktop, finder windows, and the menubar all operate and look/feel almost exactly the same as they did in 1984.yes, NeXT did use that view before, ( I have OpenStep loaded on a VPC here as well) oh, and playschool makes cool things (I'm a little kid at heart ) Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide Editor of the MLAgazine "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life" |

I gotta admit, I wish they had included support for Win9x. I've got it on my Win2K system at work and it rocks. OTOH, for my dual-boot Win98/RedHat laptop, I'm stuck with WinAMP and RealONE. BTW, anyone know of a DAAP (iTunes sharing protocol) plugin for WinAMP? <<<john>>> |
