http://www.torpedobird.com/~catsdorule/forum/viewtopic.php?t=99 (use that as a referrence, if you need it)

I'm now installing KOHA, an Open Source Integrated Library System on the blue/white G3... this includes installing perl modules, the developer tools, and a bunch of other cool things

Mostly, I'm somewhat bored, and need things to do (other than my Geometry homework) but I've been wanting to get KOHA installed for awhile, and I may as well do it on my own

Out of curiosity, did you get KOHA running?

OMG! I completely forgot that I posted this, Are you interested in KOHA? because if you want to know (and it seems like you do)

My server had a fantastic borkout last night... it's been doing this kind of stuff ever since I got it, I needed to reformat, I was able to get the perl modules and to get schtuff installed, but KOHA broke the web service (somethign wrong in the httpd.conf file, so KOHA was installed, but not working (it's sad too, because I had a lot of junk on there...)

I'm going to redo the server today, and I'm going to do the perl modules and KOHA first, that way if it borks again, I know what to do... (or something)

Well, I work at a private school and I'm always on the lookout for open-source software that might be useful. Sadly, though, we just purchased a library management suite of software. The administration isn't a big fan of the open-source movement.

What software did they get?

Anyway, I can't seem to get KOHA to install, maybe one day I'll get an older machine (P90?) and see if KOHA will install on that as a dedicated server (because it needs like, two HTTP ports and stuff)

I think they got something made by Follet. It's sad that I can't remember because I installed it.

That is a good package, I have no idea exactly what it's called, but in WA my school had the Follet thingy, and my school here has it as well....

I'm not exactly sure how it's organized, as far as client and server go... but "yeah"
