I was thinking today, while a HD was formatting quietly, of where I started with this whole puter obsession business, and went back to a memory I haven't thought of for ages. Years, even...

In the early 80's was a television show - I think it was called something really dud like "wizz kids", and was a drama about a kid who was a general geeky type - and in his attic/room he had racks and racks of blinking monitory whirry things.

I remember thinking "whoa... I want that". And none of the other kids had any good stuff. That seemed a bit messed up. He was mean to his sis too :D

Now I look around my room, that's exactly where I am.

So that's one long-term dream fulfilled... now to start work on the others!
