One of the perks to my job is to order/receive/test out new equipment. 2 weeks ago I ordered a Powerbook g4 for an instructor here. this was before they came out with the faster ones. But something went wrong with tht order. . .Apple ended up canceling the order. . .then reordering a brand new 1.25 Ghz G4 book. . .at no extra cost! They wanted to make up for the order mistakes they made. . .they certainly did. . .I am sitting here right now looking at the "Welcome" screen!!!!!! Never received one of these before. . .it is too cool!

They did that with my 12" order too. I placed my order on Sept. 2nd...and then the day they came out with the new ones I got an email in the morning that said they upgraded my order to the new 12 incher for no extra cost...I get home from work and I get an email that my credit card was denied, but after 2 hours on the phone with Apple and the credit card company, I worked it out. Mine still hasn't arrived, tho (and yesterday they pushed the est. ship date back yet another week)

GHz/15" TiBook+SuperDrive and a 450MHz G3 around here, I'll be fine for the forseeable future around here...
