At the end of this weekend's annual sale at Stuyvesant Town (big apartment development in New York City) I scored a gorgeous Powerbook 180c for $20. Well, actually, the $20 was for the brand new laptop bag that came with it. The lady who was selling it was asking $30 at first. When I tried to haggle, she kept showing me the bag, which is admittedly nice, so we agreed on $20. When I brought the computer home I was pleasantly surprised. It's in perfect condition and the color screen is beautiful! It's running System 7.1 and has the Japanese language kit installed... and I'm studying Japanese! How cool is that?!?

Yeah, I'm really excited about my purchase. I looked it up on www.everymac.com and see that it cost over $4000 new! Only 10 years ago!

 I've wanted a 180c for awhile as well, of course, that beautiful screen (if it's transparent) would go great with an overhead projector, imagine 640 by 4whatever of fantastic color goodiness on your whole wall...

Other than that, I've also wanted to turn the whole top panel inside out, so that it's in the form factor of a tablet, and then there's the famous DoorMac™ idea, (you can thank BoredomConquersAll for that one )
