It's a long story, but a few years ago when my daughter was in college, her pet rat Elisa climbed into her Apple Stylewriter 4100 printer. It took a while to get Elisa out, and in the meantime Elisa peed in the printer and chewed the wires to a little Y-shaped board. So, planning to fix the thing, I bought ANOTHER 4100 from a guy on eBay. He said that it had worked the last time he used it, but he didn't have cartridges. But I just wanted it for parts, so I bought it. And here it sat.
Finally, I got Number One Son to take apart the printer the rat had gotten into. But that's as far as he got. Then he tried the cartridges from that one in the eBay printer, but they were dried up. I went shopping for carts, but discovered that they were about $20 apiece. So did I want to spend $40 to see if a $25 printer would work? Not really, so there it sat: one 4100 that MIGHT work, if it had carts, and one in pieces.
You can have BOTH, for free. If you live in the Boston-Worcester area of Massachusetts, you can come pick them up. If you want me to ship them, I will--you just pay the shipping cost. No guarantees.
If no one wants them, it's off to the dump.
If you're interested, e-mail me at <MrLynn@WalkingCreek.com>, as I don't come here very often these days.
