I have a 4x Lacie External SCSI CD burner that I'd like to trade. The burner includes cables and terminator and is Mac and PC compatible. External case is in good condition and the drive is working. I have picts if curious.I have an iMac 333 and no scsi capabilities. I would like to trade the scsi burner for an older 4x USB 1.0 burner. Anyone interested?, I live in Toronto. I think I have that exact same SCSI burner. Is it the one with the 4x12x Teac drive in it? If so then maybe you could help me with my problem. When I try to burn with it using Toast Deluxe v4.1.3, it just sits there for about 5 minutes and then gives some kind of drive error. Have you run into this at all? I'm assuming you've tried it before with one of your SCSI Macs. Thanks, The Lightning Stalker Performa 631CD, 7.5.5 LC III Mail Server Q610 Q650 6400/180 40/1.6G/512k L2/enet/video-in/TV 7600/120 '604/233, 80/1.2G & 4G, 9.2.2 (Main Mac) Lady Smith Apples: Apple IIc 5.25" 2 Apple IIe |

I haven't run into that problem. The last CD I burned I used Toast 4 off the 68kmla hotline server and it worked fine although really slow. It's because the SCSI bus on the 5200 is slow.Editor of the printed word, Ministry of 68k Truths (mini6) ------------------ PowerCD, Mac HD 20, SE, Classic II, IIx, IIvi, PB 170, LC 475, LC 575, Quadra 650, Performa 5200, iMac 333 How you like d'em apples?! |

Well, I've got a Phillips USB burner, but I don't know if it will work with Macs. You've got a 50/50 shot.The Lightning Stalker Performa 631CD, 7.5.5 LC III Mail Server Q610 Q650 6400/180 40/1.6G/512k L2/enet/video-in/TV 7600/120 '604/233, 80/1.2G & 4G, 9.2.2 (Main Mac) Lady Smith Apples: Apple IIc 5.25" 2 Apple IIe |

Sorry, I didn't notice that you responded all that time ago. I was still waiting a reply from your cousin. Well now, I know. Can you give me some more details about the drive?.Editor of the printed word, Ministry of 68k Truths (mini6) ------------------ PowerCD, Mac HD 20, SE, Classic II, IIx, IIvi, PB 170, LC 475, LC 575, Quadra 650, Performa 5200, iMac 333 How you like d'em apples?! |

Let see… details… Well, it's purple, and kinda ugly… but functionally it came with toast 4 [we still have the CD I think], Reads at 6x, Writes at 4x and Re-Writes at 4x. uses an external power adapter, and a standard A-B USB cable [ours might be bad? I think that's why we haven't used it for a long time]There isnt really much to tell I guess? If I open my window all the bugs will get in…That's just one more reason to use a Mac!
