I just found that while browsing on eBay, for my next big obsession, and I was wondering what it does... it looks like a KVM, or an output dealie, or an input dealie maybe even... any thoughts?

Looks suspiciously like a KVM to me.

Definitely not a KVM. It's what the title says, an A/V adapter, with all sorts of synching options, for connecting a Mac to professional video production equipment.

I thinkI figured it out...

In many stores, there's many monitors (CompUSA are especially notorious for this) on one wall, with the same image... That box says "Projector" on one video out, has BNCs (for a pro-monitor and/or TV), Looks as though it has VGA, and some other stuff-nesses...

I've seen monitors with BNCs, it looks like if I wanted to connect one of those, I'd just connect it with a Mac>BNC cable

I believe that it's for connecting many kinds of sources

I can't tell because the picture really sucks, but this could be a scan converter which converts different input scan rates to say 85Hz or whatever you set it to. It might do something else, too, but that's what I'd say from the DIP switches. Also, $10 is way too much to ship that friggin' thing!
