Hey, I have to get rid of 7 computers and my parents will buy me a sun box off of ebay. I have decided to get rid of them by giving them away for cheap or free. I will work with you on shipping stuff if you know a better way to ship something. My goal here is to just get rid of stuff without landfilling it.
UPDATED Friday Sept 19!!! computer #1 Only the performa 6214's parts remain. They are all free for the asking. this includes stuff like the working mainboard, cable assembly, HD, speaker, etc. computer #2 PowerMac 7500 has been scrapped, working Main board and petty parts like cables, speaker, and bezels are the only things I salvaged and are free for the taking. Computer #3 Dell 233MHz machine has been scrapped, working main board and power supply are free for the taking. Computer #4 Duodock Works fine, please make me an offer on this thing. Computer #5
Quadra 700 with A/UX on the hard disk or OS 7.6 - 8.1 if you prefer. If you get A/UX it comes with the install CD and floppy. It has 20 MB RAM and a 160 MB hard disk. $12 plus shipping. CLAIMED Computer #6 Quadra 950 Has a 2 GB HD, 64 MB ram, CDROM drive. Please make me a good offer on this. Also has a lot of software on the drive. Computer #7 PC clone. 200 MHz Is in a nice tower case and includes a 1 GB SCSI drive and SCSI CD with a SCSI card. Has ethernet, video, and USB. I think it has 64 MB of memory but it might just be 32. I will check if you want it. Works fine, just reload the OS. It is a tower so it is heavy. Looking to get 20 for it. Free 15 inch monitor if you want it, works nice, just pay shipping. Computer #8 Powerbook Duo 2300c A home-refurb! Has a new 500MB hd, 28 MB ram and the DuoDock II which has ethernet in it. Works nice after I fixed it up. Includes one power adapter. Book also contains a modem of unknown functionality, as I never tried to use it. Only thing to note is I had to use some clear tape to seal one of the edges shut. But it works fine ! Please make me an offer on it. Goodies! 1 - Audiovision 14 Monitor, includes adapter cable -- CLAIMED
2 - RasterOps DuoMate 16SC, Works nice and provides SCSI, sound, video, ADB, monitor and has a power input jack. Paid 35 will sell for $25 3 - Apple MPEG Kit - full kit included CD's, manuals and board. $5 4 - Apple 6100 PDS slot adapter to the black quadra style PDS slot. Came with a Dos card and I dont need it. $2 + ship Ethernet transcievers and mice and KB's are available cheap if you want them. This applies to all of the computers listed, including the PCs.

Where are you located, and what model of dell machine is that? OptiPlex are the best IMHO I doubt that my parentals would love the idea of me having any new aquisitions though... other than that the 6214, and hte 950 sounded nice. good luck with the sun box. Should have mentioned I live in FL, 32937 to be exact. Yeah the Dell is an optiplex GXi, they are pretty nice as far as PC's go. Also, I am adding one more goodie. #6 - SE/30 ethernet board, never used, all parts and SW included. logan Edited by - q950 on 19 Sep 2003 18:38:18 |

The PDS adapter is one that came with a doscard for 610's and 6100 machines, I dont know if it would work, but for two bucks you can't go wrong. I will post a picture of it tonite. The MPEG kit a cool little setup, you can play MPEG-1 movies with it without using system resources. Basically makes the machine into cheap VCD player. I bought it for the 6214, but I have to get rid of that machine so I can no longer use the card. It worked while I had it and it came brand new from shreve a couple of months ago. It comes with the box, manuals, demo CDs etc etc. I also want to add some more goodies to the list Apple Comm Slot one Ethernet board $5 + 1.50 ship http://home.cfl.rr.com/jupiterheights/ether1.jpg Sold to thelightningstalker
Apple Video input card $5 + 1.50 ship http://home.cfl.rr.com/jupiterheights/video1.jpg <Free> Apple cache chip from a 6214 probably compatible with many others free + shipping http://home.cfl.rr.com/jupiterheights/cache.jpg Apple Audio Out box w/ IR receiver option, Apple Speaker for a 6214 and many other, and Video Out daughtercard for many performas free + ship http://home.cfl.rr.com/jupiterheights/soundkit.jpg </free> Please help me keep this stuff out of the landfill! I will combine shipping on stuff if you want more than one thing. Is the MPEG card machine specific? Because if it will fit and run in the 8600 I could have so much fun.

the MPEG card is for the LC/Performa/Quadra 630-640 machines, and the 6200/6300 ~ish machines (moreso the 68kers) and there is no slot into which it'll fit on your 8600, nor does a 200MHz 604e need the MPEG kit to play MPEGs...have fun tBoJ I wish I were keeping my 6500, otherwise I'd buy the AV input dealie from you... Actually you'd be suprised. My system slows down alot when playing MPEG's and having a hardware decoder would help alot for watching movies and doing work. Not to mention the Mac Video System is bad for screen redraws.

Shrevesystems sells a PCI QuickDraw accellerator card, also some ATi Cards (think: Radeon?) might help you alot, especially if you plan on running OSX on that machine eventually....Also, faster processors may help.
