You might know that it's 9-11 today, what are you thinking this morning? did you maybe know anyone who was unfortunate enough to be in either of the two towers?

Is this affecting your day at all? attending any services and whatnot?

Around here, there's alot of national news coverage and schtuff, and there's a bit from the local army/airforce base(s).

At school here, we had 1 min of silence for all those who died. But I knew what today was, and thankfully I had no family/friends who did die on that tragic day. But it is right that we mourn those who did die.

I went about my day as usual... I just wore a T-shirt I made protesting the decline of civil rights in this country since 9/11. Most people didn't get it.

BTW... What's with the "You-Know-What"? It's starting to sound like a Harry Potter story. The day You-Know-Who did You-Know-What. Just call it September 11... or, El once de Septembre, or one of the many other ways to say 9/11.

I had a moment of silence for all those who died this morning. Other than that i just went about my daily business, but still mourning the death of those who were involved.

I still remember where I was when the 2 towers fell: In my bed asleep. I don't think I even knew what happened until I got to work - late of course.

My parents were stuck in NYC at JFK airport when the towers got hit (they were on their way to greece that day, were stuck in NYC for over a week). So Imagine me waking up that day and hearing a jet hit a tower in NYC thinking my parents were already in greece (I dropped them off at pittsburg airport the day before but their flight from NYC to athens got cancelled and they had to wait a day and didnt tell me). Anyway I took them to the airport again this year on 9-9 and was hoping they didnt have any other unpleasent surprises (they go to greece for 2 months every year while I watch the house and the 8 cats).

Good for you -- takes some guts in the current U.S. climate. Most people didn't get, but I'm sure some did, even if they didn't say anything to you about it.
