Apple decided not to release the source code to Cyberdog even fater they promised they would, citing financial troubles among the reasons, even though Cyberdog was no longer a commercial product.

So, Apple, if you want to start something good, you can use this commercial for CyberDog and put it next to Safari as the all purpose home browser for kids/family.

Commercial:

The scene is a cyberstreet, much like a typical city street with the lights, cars etc, except this is online, so instead of cars, you see datagrams, numbers and pictures and motion pictures wizzing by.

A man is standing by the street and is watching another man try to walk towards the Microsoft building. As the man crosses the street, even though the light says green, a swarm of datagrams and numbers and pictures collide with him, and knocks him out cold. A few datagrams stick around and point fingers at him and laugh pointing to the Windows flag on his shirt.

The paramedics come and try to scrape him off the street while directing the rest of the traffic with tonnes of angry packets shouting and wanting to get going. Meanwhile, the man who is out walking his dog, Cybie, walks towards the street that goes to www.apple.com. The light goes green and you hear the "eep!" "eep!" as it sounds it's ok to go. He's about halfway across when the other datagrams and others decide he is thier next victim. They go after him but Cybie growls and barks up a storm sending them running off with thier ip's between thier datagrams. He walks past the sreet and goes to apple.com and a message come up:

Welcome To Macintosh.

Commercial Two:

A lady is on E-Mail Street when a virus takes her purse and runs off. She yells police and an officer comes up, blows his whistle and holds up the stick and says: "Halt!". The virus knocks him right over and keeps running. The officer gets up and calls for backup but none of them know where to go.

Meanwhile, a Macintosh user is checking her e-mail when a nasty virus pops up, takes her purse and runs off. She yells "police!" and two officers come running over with a police dog, Cybie. She points the direction the thief went and they are hot in pursuit. Cybie soon had the thief cornered in an alley and the lady gets her purse back.

Meanwhile, the other lady finds out her purse is gone and so is all her e-mail. How sad.
