Hello from my school!anyway, the computer graphics teacher has OS X on her compter and the "grade quick" software [used for keeping attendance…] and they are trying to print grade reports form a Tektronix Phaser 560… they can print from OS 9, but that is seen as too much of a hastle, since they want to move to OS X [I did tell the new PC using repair guy that he could try making grade quick from classic; but Im not sure if he tried that or if it worked…] so any help would be appreciated! ^_^ If I open my window all the bugs will get in…That's just one more reason to use a Mac! In the utilities folder, open 'Print Center' then go to the Printers menu and drop down to 'Add Printer' In the dialog window that opens, click on the top dropdown menu and select AppleTalk (I'm assuming you're connected to the printer via appletalk) wait a few moments, then hopefully you printer will show up in the list. - - - - - - - - - - - - - A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it sure beats a blank stare for starting a conversation. 68k ParaMedic |

There should be a way to print to it via TCPIP because I have a tek phaser 550 and it supports Appletalk, TCPIP, and Netware printing. In windows just type in the ip address. I would suppose there is something similar in OS X. You would be printing to it via Rendevous and Samba I would expect. Your computer would be emulating a windows box. Since it is a postscript printer, you can just use the generic color printer PPD file if a specific one isnt available.Logan Quadra 950, Workgroup Server 9150, Performa 6400, Powerbook 2300c, 4x Quadra 700's, iBook |
