tBoJ can no longer purchase my 6500 (for some reason, so I'm selling it to whoever, the 6500 wasn't the mac that I actually had a real "connection" to... so I'm not sure as I really care exactly who it goes to.

The 6500 is darn heavy and shipping to Vancouver is gonna cost an arm and a leg, sadly it's like ColorSync 17" screens, shippings kills them in terms of cost.

For example, the 6400 would be about 100 dollars to ship to Vancouver, plus any duty and taxes that are applied. So, it kinda takes the joy out of a good deal.

Sorry Cory, I thought Showna wanted the Mac, but I wasn't able to get into contact with her, and by now she's already in colledge, and she hasn't retruned my e-mails.

Oh well. It's looking for a good home folks, so...

Yeah.

You have to shop around for shipping. Look at UPS and Post Office. Don't fool with FedEx unless you can find a shop that will take it.

======================
Current Macs:
iMac G4/700 (main)
iBook G3/700 (portable)
PowerMac 7300/180 (server)
PowerMac 6100/66 (no monitor!)
Quadra 610 (no monitor!)
Performa 400, upgraded to 475 (busted monitor!)
Apple IIe (dead but I keep it)Go to Top of Page

I've had bad experiences with UPS, they charge way too much for brokerage fees and thier customer service isn't good. Da Penguin and I both lost money on the sale of the 8600 because UPS made mistakes and refused to do anything about it, meaning we both had to pay extra.

I've also had damaged goods via UPS and the Postal Service. Although FedEx is expensive, they handle thier stuff well, so you pay for the quality. Anyways, for me it just doesn't work out for something I can get locally when the price goes that high just for shipping.
