Whilst not a 68k Mac, I managed to get, for the price of free, a used 8600/200 Mhz, which I promptly overclocked to 250 Mhz, and it came with the following:- 11Gigs HD (A 9 gig and a 2 gig)
- 612 Megs RAM (gotta love that!)
- 100 Meg Zip
- 12x CD
- Keyboard, Mouse, Printer
But did I stop with that? Apple ingeniously used the same case for the 8600 as a 9600, meaning it has the room for those extra PCI slots, so I went on eBay and bought a 9600 motherboard and plopped that bad boy in there, and got a new ATI Radeon 7000 graphics card, and much much later, a 450Mhz g4 upgrade. It's fantastic, it's cheap, and it has six PCI slots.-- Performa 475 (Quadra 605) Powermac 9600 iMac DV 400MHz |
