Ya, well, there was a thread a long time ago with desk setup pics and such, and I figured I'd add on, but it's been long over with, so here's a new thread. I encourage others to show off their work area too. They're physical and computerized desktops...

http://www.burningabbey.com/deskshot.jpg

I'll have screenshots soon.

heh, sorry about these being kinda out of date…

the TV was replaced with a 17" monitor, the HD case with the Apple sticker was replaced by an APS HD/case; The stereo was replaced with an Onkyo, with KLH speakers [can be connected to the 9500, hehe…], next to the supermac there is a 7100/80av with a 17" monitor on it [the monitor in the picture is only 15"], also the VCR is gone [I can't watch any TV on the 660av untill I get it back…] oh, and there are 5 Coke bottles up on that top shelf now…

I cant really get a good picture of everything to the right of the quadra right now… [wait untill I get my QT200]

If I open my window all the bugs will get in…That's just one more reason to use a Mac!

Here's mine, looks rather tidy! Of course it completely fails to include the large piles scattered around the rather small house, 20" CRTs, printers, 2 or 3 PowerMacs a few 68ks, a filing cabinet full of cables and drives and a box full of keyboards and stuff.

Hey! What's wrong with Mary-Kate and Ashley???? They're wonderfull and beautifull people. Can't say I am extremely fond of their acting.... at all, but they're still cute, and only a month younger than me, but somehow going to college this year, before me... go figure...

Were you the one with the marykate and ashley performa foetoid?
the one that went boom or something

I don't see the point in just mirroring the iMac's internal display... especially if it has to stay on, and waste ALL that electricity...

besides, I rather like the iMac's built in display...

Cool setup Gothikon, it's sweet and simple, I try to keep my main computer sommat like that.
---
Maybe one day I'll be able to get a digital camera, and you'll see my entire (somewhat portable) workstation setup.

Well, I guess what is wrong with them is that, they arent that hot, and that I would never put them on my desktop... but other than that nothing.

Cory I think that that is a great Idea. You should make a section on getting to know your fellow soldiers. Get a picture of them, some bio info, and a pic of their setup. Man that would be cool.

three ColorComposite monitors,
three MultiScan15" monitors
a QuickTake 100/150
your 7600
your server

where are all the macs that go with those monitors and keyboards????
(or is your server under all the other macs even?)

Not all the macs were moved in at the time, but most were there. The three composites belong to the three apple[]e's, the 14" that is on in the picature belongs to the 7600 in the middle, the 14" below it is to the server. The AudioVision and other 14" apple monitor are each hooked up to a different machine, both 61xx style though. The PeeCee Monitor is for my once a month attempt at getting a PeeCee or that Sun-ish box working.

BTW, In current times, the audiovision is gone, it went to my studio downstairs with my performa 6112 (which needs a bigger HD, but oh well) for listening to music down there. Hopefully my 1710AV comes in soon for my room

lol, well darn... I loves me AudioVisions... I should get an adaptor to use it with the TiBook... it's only 640 by 480, but it's one of the best monitors for audios
(and it has a VERY clear and pretty crisp picture, very bright, easy to look at)

Hey Penguin, my room has a derelict fireplace too, although a different creature resides next to it.
http://www.geocities.com/cmdrplunge/room/
I thought about including pics of the PeeCees throughout the house to show off my network, but that was while I was also thinking I would be content showing my room in one picture.
I also think a member bio or info section in the MLAgazine would be cool. I know I'm a newbie around here, but I would be happy to contribute to that column.

do you have a projector screen cmdrplunge???

COOLNESS!

yeah, the newer members can probably wait to have their rooms shown off to the world, until a bit later, I might not run piccies of my own home until the second or third issue

but whatever I get before december has a fair shot at making it into the premeir issue.

because Quadras or not, I'm publishing this thing in December (I think)

Well, yes I did have an LC 580 that I MKAed all up and then I turned it into the Beige iMac, and that's what melted... Anyway, The iMac display seems to make things all blend and are fuzzy around the edges. The 17" in front of my face displays everything super crisp and larger and it's a flat screen, so it's worth it to me. Anyway, ya, I think MKA are hot, I prefer MK, but ya, whatever, maybe I'm messed up to some, but I don't care, I like what I like and ya... I guess it's just whatever makes you happy that counts... At any rate... I'm tired, and tomorrow's going to be hectic... once again. Oh and I HATE my job... I hope the school hires me as a tech assistant so I can actually get to administer the network some. If not, I'll beg this other guy to give me a job who owns an ISP that does wireless broadband to your home. If that doesn't work... I'll quite my job and the grocery store anyway and sell all my stuff and look for a job with computers somewhere... It's the only thing left for me.

Um, projector screen? I don't think so. Which picture were you looking at that you saw one? The only screen I had on was the iMac's LCD display.

cmdrplunge, that thing hanging above your iMac looks like it'll pull down to be a projector screen... guess not then...

I didn't know the LCIII was launched feb. 10th!

feb. 9th is my birthday!!! (just not that year, 1992 (or 3) is my brothers' birthday year)

Nah, it's a fluorescent lamp. There is a perforated metal screen across it that wraps half way around, I positioned it so it is not as bright in my eyes. It actually looks kinda cool at night as it backlights the iMac.
