I'm posting from Windows NT4 Terminal Server in virtualPC on windows XP so hello.I may or may not host stuff from this virtual machine, on the plus side hackers can't really screw anything up except the virtual machine if they get into this... I'll keep you all posted on the situation. I may host the kevcave from this virtual machine eventually ________________________ IBM PS/2 Fanboy http://www.kevcave.tk = The Kevcave Manager, the llama-X project.. |

the address for the self-hosted version of the kevcave is http://kevcave.zapto.org/ but don't expect that to be up and running very often at all. Maybe eventually all the kevcave stuff will be there but for now its just the MS IIS 3.0 splash screen. For the kevcave go to http://kevcave.zapto.org/index.htm. ________________________ IBM PS/2 Fanboy http://www.kevcave.tk = The Kevcave Manager, the llama-X project.. |

One question... I'mnot sure if it's the best one...but WHY NT4 terminal server edition? I have a "not for resale" NT4 server 10-client CD if I really wanted to use NT4.... but if I was to want an internet server, it wouldn't be a virtual machine, and if it was NT4, it would probably do things closer to the "domain controller" and/or file server... that's just me though... good luck... and try to find hoardes of workstations so you can play with that terminal server junk Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide Editor of the MLAgazine "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life" |

I actually don't mind NT 4 Workstation. It feels really snappy on my P120 laptop, and it's quite stable as long as you don't use IE.Official 68kMLA Music and NeXT Expert Macs Liberated: SE (2), LC, IIsi, PB 145b, Quadra 700 (2), LC 575, 6100 (2), PB 5300, PowerMac 5400/200, Performa 6400/180 PCs liberated from Windoze: 3 |

Are you NT's legal?I have a legal copy of NT4 workstation (final), the aforementioned NT4 server (final) and Windows NT 4.0 workstation Beta 2 (which I can use on up to 11 computers as I recall) I've almost got an NT domain, just need some more computers. Yup. I have the original WinNT 4.0 for Workgroups CD. It was in one of the little pouches in my P120 laptop when I got it.Official 68kMLA Music and NeXT Expert Macs Liberated: SE (2), LC, IIsi, PB 145b, Quadra 700 (2), LC 575, 6100 (2), PB 5300, PowerMac 5400/200, Performa 6400/180 PCs liberated from Windoze: 3 |

lol... niice, I got my CDs from a friend, he got them from a garage sale, so it' sprobably safe to say that theyre legal as well legal things have their perks, but sometimes you just need to go with something so old, it could'nt possibly be legal... Try with an older version of VPC? I got OpenStep 4.2 running last night... *_LOVE_*_IT_* Old Operating systems are great, they'd be better on real computers though, IMHO, I just don't have a real PC at the moment, especially one that'd run OpenStep Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide Editor of the MLAgazine "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life" |
