So on Friday my wife got the call from her doctor...she's pregnant! After kinda-sorta planning to have another baby sometime between June and January, it happened a little early. But, that's okay. Our main goal was to not have a huge gap between Cleo and her little brother or sister, and with the baby due April 29, it'll be just under 4 years younger, which should work out well.

Anyway, who's got the champagne?

Congratulations on the forthcoming addition to your family!!!!

April 29.... I guess they take even longer than the new G5's for delivery.

Cine, and I mean this the good way, but you and CineWife are insane.

Babies are evil. :D

Small Children are hellspawn. ;)

That said, my most heartfelt wishes for a nice, uneventful pregnancy and a healthy child. \m/

---
In the meantime my husband and I are also thinking of having a baby. We've picked Dec 32 as the day to try for conception. If that fails, Feb 30. And if that's a no go, June 31.

It's a game of chance cine, sometimes age difference is more important than others.

I have 3 sisters & 3 brothers, 2 older brothers 1 older sister, 2 younger sisters, 1 younger brother. Ages apart are thus;

Oldest - 1.5 years - 2.5 years - 3.5 years - 3.5 years - 2.5 years - 1.5 years youngest.

I was stuck in the middle with 3.5 years each side, the older 3 kinda stuck together & the younger 3 kinda stuck tougether.

Life is what you make it cine, but frustratingly hard to predict certain things.

All the best cine, I personally want your family to be happy & successful I think you are all a fantastic addition to the human race.

What about the Quadra-upelets.

Lisa, Elsie, Newton and Fafnir...

I belive they'll be a fine bunch, and SE/30's would make decent playtoys for them

they are growing up onmacintosh?

Yeah, or you could use LC series machines...pizzaboxes, 5xx's and LC630 based machines are great kids machines.

Well... you could always get an LC, a Lisa, an eMate and an SE/30 (the origins of the codenames as per their kid's name...)

or a mixture based on the kid's needs and wants, maybe that'd be better later, and kinda start em' all on an SE/30 or something :-\

Thats a good idea. Start off with a compact, and then as his age and needs increase, gradually move him up, to pizzaboxes, Performas, then onto PowerMacs, and then onto iMacs and stuff. Thats a good idea.

and it ensures the smartest, most addicted child. I started with a 286 when I was in 4th grade.

A compact should last him/her/them for quite awhile. If you choose to take them the route of making them addicted at a young age...

Try to get a mix between computer literacy, and a healthy active lifestyle.

I compensate for my somewhat inactive lifestyle by standing and moving around at my desk.

When she was younger, Cleo liked banging around on my Plus, but now she prefers the TiBook. Our kitten does, too! When it's been on for a long time, she likes to lay on the keyboard since its nice and warm.

I'm sure the new baby won't mind getting the Plus or SE/30 as hand-me-down!

I have 2 brothers, 2 sisters and all varying ages. My oldest brother is 11 years younger, my youngest brother is 13 years younger, my sister is 8 years younger, and my new baby sister, well she's on;y like one, so 22 years younger than me lol, I could be her dad. ;-)

But then again, my mom was only 16 when she had me, so it makes a big difference. Sadly though, my 2 brothers and baby sister are in England, although my oldest sister lives in Ontario, I really need to save up to go and see her.

Family is fun. My biggest goal will be to save up enough so both my sister and I can go to Europe and see the family. :)

Nice try Cory.

Going to Europe costs alot, although we will have the added luxury of staying with my Mom, so at least living there for the month we plan on staying isn't going to kill us. I figure I can have the money for the trip by spring break. She won't mind taking a few weeks off schooo.
